Carolina Forest Elementary participated in the program since the Fall 2007 pilot session of Cultural Correspondents and has expanded participation in the program in 2008-2009. The Media Specialist, Mrs. Collins and grade level teachers have successfully helped create and facilitate innovative sessions at the school. These lessons which reinforced goals and objectives the students were already learning in their classrooms included subjects such as learning about maps, communities, landforms, holidays and traditions. Lessons also provided additional practice and instruction in many reading and technology standards during the sessions.
